Dr. Katherine Skiff Kane -

                Dr. Kane is a 1988 graduate of Purdue University, College of Veterinary Medicine. She purchased the practice from Dr. Everett Vreeland in 1991. The practice has since developed from one room with one telephone into a modern practice with multiple computers, multiple phone lines and 21st century diagnostics while still maintaining personalized attention to each patient.

Dr. Kane has had a lifelong affinity for horses, having raised and trained them since her childhood. Professionally, her special interests are equine & small animal (companion animal) dentistry, camelid medicine and surgery, equine geriatric care and small animal hospice care.

                Dr. Kane is usually accompanied by her 3 dogs (Kate, Bo, and Betty). In the picture below Dr. Kane and Massapequa May compete at the 2012 Waredaca 3 day Event. May is due to have her first foal in the spring of 2014. Bets are being placed on the number of spots …

Dr. Leah Jaye Osowiecki –            

                Dr. Osowiecki graduated from Colorado State University, College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences in 2012. During veterinary school Dr. Osowiecki worked as an intern at Housatonic Veterinary Care. Joining the practice as the second full time veterinarian, she is certified in large and small animal acupuncture. Dr. Osowiecki also has a Master’s degree in integrated resources from CSU.  

                 Dr. Osowiecki’s interests include food animal production, acupuncture, lameness, as well as preventative care for small and large animals.  

               Her own animals include Elijah, her Golden Retriever, Delilah, her cat, a donkey and a horse.
